Behind the Cake

HEY CAKE LOVERS!

Cupcake Cloud began in 2016, when I (Gemma) embarked on a journey to supply the tastiest, most perfect cupcakes from my parent's countryside kitchen. Demand grew and I decided to take the leap from full time employment, to full time cake maker! 

Now working from my home in Colchester, I provide cupcakes, cakes and mountains of other treats.
Weddings, Birthdays, Celebrations of all kinds!

In Summer 2019, I expanded Cupcake Cloud, with the launch of this website, online shop and the welcoming of a new full time member, mess maker, brownie taster, (my husband) Stephen.
Making Cupcake Cloud a husband and wife team. 

In 2023, we decided it was time to make some changes, to refine and move the business forward in the direction it seemed to naturally be steering towards. Concentrating on a set menu for quick and efficent ordering via the online shop, dreamy wedding cakes and fun bespoke cakes. 

After 4 years as a full time member, from what we thought was only going to be a few months back in '19, in Summer 2023, we decided, that with 2 children now in tow, the change in direction of the business, and being given an offer of employment elswhere, it was time for Stephen to move on, bringing Cupcake Cloud back to soley being run by myself, Gemma.
